Sunrisers Hyderabad would like to make it very clear that they have no plans to part ways with Heinrich Klaasen or Ishan Kishan who they acquired for ₹11.25 crore from MI prior to IPL 2025 during the IPL 2026 auction, notwithstanding recent reports claiming otherwise.Cricbuzz has reported that SRH sources said that the organization is keeping both players.

The report quotes a source as saying, “The franchise has no plans to trade or release Ishan or Heinrich Klaasen, as some reports specified.”Kishan had a good season with SRH last season, scoring 354 runs in 13 innings, including a century. Klaasen proved to be one of the most reliable batters for SRH prior to joining in 2023, scoring over 400 runs in every IPL season for SRH.

Additionally, Cricbuzz reports that they will not be pursuing Sanju Samson from the Rajasthan Royals. The SRH management considers Ishan Kishan a back-up opener, given the success SRH management had with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma in the opening pair, one of the most dangerous pairs in recent seasons of the IPL.

Management shows interest in playing Ishan Kishan as a back-up opener, so there is no room for Sanju Samson in their Squad. At the same time, the Rajasthan Royals are looking at trade possibilities for Sanju Samson and have reportedly asked both SRH and Chennai Super Kings. SRH has reportedly said no. RR is talking with CSK about a trade involving Ravindra Jadeja, but they also want Dewald Brevis added to the trade, which CSK has not agreed to at this point.
