IPL 2026: Jasprit Bumrah has no injury concerns, big relief for Mumbai Indians
On March 29th, Mumbai Indians (MI) are going to begin their IPL 2026 tournament with a match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Wankhede Stadium. People were worried because Jasprit Bumrah has not joined the team so far. But there is nothing to worry about.
Jasprit Bumrah fit, set to join Mumbai Indians for IPL 2026 opener
Jasprit Bumrah went to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for his fitness tests. This is normal because all Indian players have to undergo fitness tests before joining their respective IPL teams. This is the reason for Jasprit Bumrah’s absence from joining his team so far; he has been undergoing fitness tests at the Centre of Excellence.
The management of his team is also planning his matches well, as he hasn't played ODI cricket since the 2023 World Cup final, so they are planning his matches for the future. Therefore, he might miss some matches in June, but he will be available for the tour in England.

The good news is that Bumrah is already bowling. So, he will join his team, MI, soon. Last year, Bumrah was out due to injury, so he missed the first few matches, but this year, he is fit, so Mumbai Indians and Hardik Pandya can take a deep breath because Bumrah will be available for IPL 2026.
