IPL 2026: Cameron Green Confirms Bowling Availability, Blames Manager for Listing Him as Specialist Batter
Australia cricket team star Cameron Green has made it clear that he will be available to take part in IPL 2026 as an all-rounder and not just as a pure batter. His comments come after he has been slotted in set number 1 as a pure batter in the mini-auction at a base price of Rs 2 crore.
A Few Days ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, Green has claimed that he will be available to bowl in the tournament as well, and that is something which the teams will definitely take note of, as there are just two days remaining for the auction.
Cameron Green Confirms All-Rounder Role for IPL 2026 After Manager Listing Error
Speaking to reporters in Adelaide during a training session ahead of the Ashes 3rd Test, Green blamed his manager for his 'stuff up' in listing the star as a batter instead of an all-rounder for the IPL 2026 auction. "He's just clicked the wrong box," Green said. "I am all clear to bowl in the IPL 2026 season," which will come as quite a relief for the multiple teams targeting to get the all-rounder in the mini-auction.
"I'll be good to bowl. I don't know if my manager would want to hear this, but it was a stuff-up on his end. He didn't mean to say 'batter'. I think he just accidentally clicked the wrong box. It's pretty funny how it's all panned out, but it was actually a stuff-up on his end, " Green said.
Green made his IPL debut in 2023, where he scored 452 runs and picked six wickets for the Mumbai Indians. He was then traded to RCB in IPL 2024, where he could manage to score 255 runs and pick 10 wickets.
The previous year, Cameron did not participate in the IPL 2025 mega auction as he had gone under the knife for a back injury and was recovering. Now, not only is Green set to return to the IPL but is also touted to be the most-expensive player at the IPL 2026 auction.
