IPL 2025: GT Playing XI Against MI | Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians (Eliminator 62 )

Gujarat Titans, after their outstanding performance in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, reached the playoffs but finished in third place after multiple defeats in the last few matches. Gujarat will now play the eliminator against Mumbai Indians at Mullanpur Stadium in New Chandigarh on May 30, 2025. This article will discuss their expected playing XI for the upcoming match. 

Gujarat Titans, despite starting the season with multiple victories and winning most of their early matches, struggled to win the last few games, which were the most critical. The team required only one victory in the last two matches to retain the top spot in the points table, but it couldn't win those matches and ended the season in third place. Gujarat played 14 matches in the group stage this season, winning 9 of them while losing 5, and finished the group stage with 16 points.

Top Order

GujaratTitanscaptain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will open the innings. Buttler has performed well for the team and is one of the highest run scorers of the season, but due to his national duties, he returned to England. In his place, Kusal Mendis is expected to bat at No. 3. 

Middle Order

For the middle order, Gujarat Titans will feature all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford batting at number 4, while two other Indian batters, Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia, are expected to bat at numbers 5 and 6. GT will have Rashid Khan and Gerald Coetzee along with Arshad Khan in the lower middle order; both batters are known to play some big shots when needed.

Bowlers

In the bowling department, Gujarat Titans will feature star Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, who will bowl alongside South African Gerald Coetzee to lead the pace attack. The team will also have one more Indian pacer, Prasiddh Krishna, who will play as an impact substitute. Gujarat will have two spinners in the spin department, Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore, for the middle overs.
