India T20 World Cup Squad Announcement: Date, Time, Venue, Live Streaming Details
With the 2025 Indian Premier League auction now completed, attention has shifted to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. There is still time remaining for the event, during which India, along with Sri Lanka, will be co-hosting the tournament, from 7th February to 8th March, in which the Men in Blue will be entering the event as the defending champions for the second time.
The reason why this event will be trending this weekend is that the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee will come up with the final squad of the Indian national team that will be participating in the World Cup. What is unique this year is that the BCCI will be releasing the final fifteen players of the Men in Blue a month and a half before the T20 World Cup 2026.
The announcement of the squad at this point also means that the T20 Internationals series between India and New Zealand, which consists of five T20 Internationals, that will be played next month, will be some kind of warm-up session for the World Cup for these two teams. India will most probably not field any player that has not been named in the squad, unless there’s some last-minute injury.
