India Storms into ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup Final with Commanding Victory Over England
India stormed into the final of the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup with a dominant nine-wicket victory over England at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
India needed to score 114 runs to win the match. India Women's chased a target in 14 overs very simply. Kamalini scored 56 runs in 50 balls. Kamalini and Gongadi Trisha scored a solid 60-run partnership, setting the stage for an effortless run chase.
Earlier, England chose to bat, and Davina Perrin and Jemima Spence scored a 37-run opening partnership. Then, India's bowlers took two wickets quickly. However, Perrin and captain Abi Norgrove scored together a partnership of 44 runs with England 81 for two wickets.
After that, India's spin bowlers, Aayushi Shukla, Parunika Sisodia, and Vaishnavi Sharma bowled well. India’s spin trio took six wickets while conceding just 11 runs. England was in a tough situation at 92 for eight in the 16th over. With only 113 runs on the board after 20 overs and eight wickets down, defending such a low total was always going to be a tough challenge, especially against the defending champions.

On Sunday, India and South Africa are going to play the final at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Earlier in the day, South Africa had beaten Australia by five wickets in the first semifinal.
