IND vs AUS : Mohammed Siraj Reaches 100 Test Wickets Mark During IND vs AUS 5th Test

India’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has achieved a great achievement as he has got 100 wickets in Test cricket. He got this achievement in the second innings of the fifth Test against Australia on Day 3. Siraj is now the 24th Indian bowler to get 100 wickets in Test cricket. He has played 36 Test matches for India and has three five-wicket hauls to his name. His 100th wicket was Usman Khawaja, who was given out lbw by the umpire after he played a pull shot off a delivery that angled across him by Siraj. This was a big wicket as it kept India in the game.

Siraj got his test debut for India on 26th December 2020 against Australia in Melbourne. In his debut match, he made a strong statement by picking up five wickets in both innings. He was very effective and vital for India as a pace bowler which led to him being considered as a potential up-and-coming pacer after the match. Ever since then he has been a part of the Indian squad and has performed well in all the formats.

One of Siraj’s best performances was against South Africa in Cape Town on 3rd January 2024. He bowled an incredible spell where he took 6 wickets for the loss of 15 runs in 9 overs, all of which were maidens. His tight spells with the ball and control showed India’s control of the game and also proved his worth as a quality bowler.

Siraj has had quite an impressive career in the Test format, which is why achieving a century of wickets is a great accomplishment for him. The fans are eager to see him produce more match-winning performances in the future.
