ICC Women’s WC 2025 Points Table Update: England Leads After Crushing South Africa
England Women’s Women’s Cricket Team is now at the top of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 points table after a big win over South Africa in Guwahati. South Africa were all out for just 69 runs, and England chased the target in only 14 overs. This win gave England a strong Net Run Rate boost, while South Africa dropped to the bottom. After the first round, Australia, Bangladesh, and India are in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
The tournament began with India beating Sri Lanka by 59 runs in a rain-shortened match, thanks to great performances from Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur. The next day, Australia beat New Zealand by 89 runs, setting a big target of 327, while New Zealand managed 237, even with Sophie Devine scoring a century. India qualified automatically as hosts, and Pakistan and Bangladesh came through the qualifier, while Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and England made it via the ICC Women’s ODI Championship.
