The semifinals race is becoming quite interesting with every match in the Super 8 round. C Tuesday, Group 1 teams Zimbabwe and West Indies faced each other in their first match of the Super 8 round at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

In Match 4 of the Super 8 round, Windies hammered Zimbabwe by 107 runs and topped the Group 1 Points Table with a strong Net Run Rate (NRR). Prior to this match, India suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of South Africa and ruined their chances of qualifying for the next round with a low NRR.
