The T20 World Cup 2026, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, has entered a crucial phase where every match matters. Results are now playing a big role in shaping the points table, with Net Run Rate becoming just as important as wins.
A total of 20 teams are competing across four groups, and only the top two sides from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage. India sealed their place in the Super 8s with a dominant 61-run victory over Pakistan in the Group A match at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday. Earlier in the day, West Indies also booked their spot in the next round after registering a comfortable nine-wicket win over Nepal.
