ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8's: ICC Announces Match Officials, Rod Tucker & Paul Reiffel Named
Richard Kettleborough and Chris Gaffaney are umpires for the opening Super 8 match between India and South Africa at Ahmedabad on Sunday, the ICC announced on Friday. The opening Super 8 match will be assisted by TV umpire Alex Wharf and fourth umpire Chris Brown. The Super 8 stage begins on Saturday with Pakistan against New Zealand in Colombo. Rodney Tucker and Paul Reiffel will be the on-field umpires for the match, while Allahudien Paleker will be the TV umpire and Sam Nogajski the fourth umpire.
Tucker and Nogajski are on-field umpires for the match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Kandy on February 24. Nogajski is on-feild umpire for the match between England and Pakistan in Kandy, along with Nitin Menon. Adrian Holdstock and Ahsan Raza will officiate England’s Super 8 fixtures against the co-hosts in Kandy and New Zealand on February 27.
Paleker and Asif Yaqoob will be the on-field umpires for Sri Lanka’s encounter with New Zealand in Colombo on February 25. Gaffaney and Wharf will officiate the final Super 8 fixture between India and the West Indies in Kolkata on March 1. Wharf will also officiate the co-hosts’ fixture against Zimbabwe on February 26, alongside Kettleborough.
Richard Illingworth and Jayaraman Madanagopal will umpire the Zimbabwe vs West Indies fixture in Mumbai on February 23. Shahid Saikat and Kumar Dharmasena will officiate the West Indies vs South Africa fixture on February 26. Dharmasena will later umpire South Africa’s fixture against Zimbabwe on March 1 alongside Illingworth. Ranjan Madugalle, Andrew Pycroft, Richie Richardson, and Javagal Srinath will continue as match referees for the Super 8 phase.
