Three exciting matches were played on February 16 (Monday) in the T20 World Cup 2026. In the morning match, Afghanistan beat the UAE by five wickets after a comfortable chase.The afternoon match saw England defeat Italy by 24 runs. This was England’s third win in four matches, helping them qualify for the Super 8 round from Group D, after West Indies.
In the evening match, Sri Lanka surprised Australia with an eight-wicket win. Chasing 182 runs, Sri Lanka played very well, with Pathum Nissanka scoring a century and Kusal Mendis scoring a half-century.By winning their third match, they became the first team from Group B to qualify for the Super 8 round.
