ICC Reveals Staggering Prize Money for Champions Trophy

The ICC has announced prize money for the 2025 Champions Trophy. The total prize money for the tournament is $6.9 million, a 53% increase from the 2017 season. The eight teams are competing in the Champions Trophy.

The winning team will walk away with a grand prize of $2.24 million (around ₹20 crore) along with the prestigious Champions Trophy. The runners-up will earn $1.12 million, while each of the losing semi-finalists will receive $560,000. Even teams that finish in the lower ranks will be rewarded generously those finishing 5th and 6th will get $350,000, while the 7th and 8th placed teams will still take home $140,000 each.

In addition to the prize pool, the tournament’s format is bound to add to the excitement. The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four, with the top two from each group moving on to the semi-finals. Each group match win will bring in over $34,000 for the victorious team.

This will be the first global cricket event held in Pakistan since the 1996 World Cup, and the competition will be in three cities Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
