Harshit Rana Injury Update: KKR Pacer Enters CoE, Return Timeline Revealed

by K D Mishra

Fast bowler Harshit Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders has arrived at the BCCI Centre of Excellence and is progressing positively. The Delhi fast bowler has been out of action since having a knee operation in early 2026. KKR signed Navdeep Saini in his place, and it looks like Rana is progressing positively and should be back on the field soon.

KKR Pacer Making Steady Progress After Knee Surgery

Rana sustained an injury while preparing for India’s T20 World Cup campaign. The fast bowler felt some discomfort in his right knee during a practice match against South Africa. At first, it appeared to be nothing serious, but later it turned out that he needed to undergo surgery in February, which made him miss the event India ended up winning.

A source said that,

“Harshit checked into the CoE three days back. He is doing well and his knee is recovering faster than expected. He has gained a bit of weight, which means that his fitness is a bit of a concern. He will need to work on his fitness,” ]

At present, KKR are short of both Harshit Rana and Matheesha Pathirana. While Harshit Rana is out of action throughout most of the season, Mathiesha Pathirana is due to join KKR towards the end of March. KKR have not fared well in the current season, with only one win, three losses, and one abandoned match, putting them in 9th position on the points table.
