Haris Rauf the only Pakistan player in MLC as teams finalize overseas signings
Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf will be the only Pakistan player to feature in the upcoming fourth edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC). Rauf was retained by San Francisco Unicorns after he had an impressive campaign with them last year.
Haris had a breakout MLC season
The express pacer has been a part of the Unicorns since their first edition in 2023. However, his breakout stint came last season, where he grabbed 17 wickets in eight games. With that tally, he also finished the competition as the second-highest wicket-taker. Despite playing three games fewer than the leading wicket-taker, Xavier Bartlett, Haris trailed him by only one wicket.
In total, the Pakistan pacer has 28 wickets in 22 games across three seasons at an average of 25.64.
Haris will join India's Ravichandran Ashwin in the Unicorns' squad, with the Indian spinner earlier signed by the franchise this season for his debut MLC stint. Like Haris, Ashwin is also the only player from his country in the MLC this season.
However, both former Pakistan and India players, who have moved to other national teams, make up a strong contingent of players this season, like previously.
