Gujarat Titans played a great match in Lucknow and beat the Super Giants easily. This win helps them get back on track with two wins in a row. Now, they have moved up to 5th place in the points table. A 7-wicket win after the bowlers set it up, they chase down the total with 8 balls to spare. LSG were outplayed in every department of the game today and have to forget about it before focusing on their next assignment.

Earlier in the game, Shubman Gill called it right at the toss as he won the coin flip and opted to bowl first. Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj used the new ball well and reduced Lucknow Super Giants to 60 for 2, sending back both the opening batters. Prasidh Krishna dominated the middle phase as he picked up three wickets in that period. Rishabh Pant, Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad all got starts but one kicked on and got a big score.

Thanks to the late flourish from George Linde and Mohammed Shami, LSG went past the 160-run mark. Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers with impressive figures of 4/28. Ashok Sharma was rapid and he got two for 32. Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada got one wicket apiece.

In reply, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan started well for the visitors before the latter chipped one straight to short fine off Digvesh Rathi. Jos Buttler then joined his captain in the middle and the duo added 84 off 58 balls to put the game within GT's grasp. Buttler and Gill fell in the space of six balls but Rahul Tewatia and Washington Sundar saw the team home with eight balls to spare. Digvesh Rathi, Prince Yadav and Mohammed Shami got a wicket each but it wasn't enough to stop GT.
