Gujarat Titans Appoint Matthew Hayden as Batting Coach for IPL 2026

Gujarat Titans have appointed former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden as their batting coach for Indian Premier League 2026. The former Australian opener has played in the IPL before for Chennai Super Kings and was recently working as a cricket commentator.

GT has a stellar run in the previous season, with their batting being the stong suit, powered by the likes of Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler. Hayden joins the GT support staff that comprises of head coach Asish Nehra and Parthiv Patel.

Parthiv Patel is also the batting coach of Gujarat Titans. The team added former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden in the same role to further strengthen and improve their batting lineup. Commenting on his appointment, Hayden noted that good batting not only applies pressure but also owns the game.

“Good batting applies pressure. Great batting owns the game. That’s the standard we want to set at Gujarat Titans,” Hayden said after being named as the batting coach.
