Glenn Phillips'Unreal One-Handed Catch Stuns Virat Kohli; Anushka Sharma's Reaction Goes Viral
Glenn Phillips took a brilliant one-handed catch by diving to his right on Sunday (March 2), ending Virat Kohli’s special match on a disappointing note. Playing his 300th ODI for India against New Zealand in Dubai, Kohli managed to score only 11 runs from 14 balls, including two boundaries. Matt Henry dismissed him on the fourth ball of the seventh over, with Phillips completing the catch.
The Indian fans and team management also had big expectations from Kohli on Sunday but the ex-India skipper couldn't cause a big influence with the bat. He played in top notch form during his short stay out in the field, but the incredible effort in the field from Phillips left one and all surprised.
Kohli was the third Indian batter to be dismissed on Sunday. Before him, Henry trapped Shubman Gill (2) lbw on the fifth ball of the third over, and on the first ball of the sixth over, Kyle Jamieson sent Indian captain Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion. Rohit, who was close to becoming the seventh Indian batter to score 1000 ODI runs against New Zealand, was caught by Will Young after scoring 15 runs from 17 balls. During his time at the crease, Rohit hit one four and one six.

Virat’s wife and popular Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was also present at the match and looked shocked and disappointed after his dismissal. Kohli had scored a century in his previous game against Pakistan, making his early exit even more surprising. All Anushka could do was place her hand on her head and give a slightly awkward smile as she reacted to the unexpected turn of events in his 300th ODI.
At the time of writing, India has crossed the 33-over mark and stands at 144/4. Shreyas Iyer is anchoring the innings with 58 runs off 85 balls, while KL Rahul is at the crease with 10 runs from 14 balls.
