Delhi Capitals to Play All IPL 2025 Home Matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium, No Shift to Vizag
In IPL 2025, the Delhi Capitals are going to play all their seven home matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This was a change from last season when two of their matches had to be shifted to Vizag because of delays in pitch preparation. The team is ready to play a disturbance-free complete season at its home ground.
The WPL 2025 edition will not hold any matches in Delhi, though. The match will be played all over four different cities, i.e., Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Vadodara, which might give the viewers situated in those states a live game experience.
The last time, the WPL 2024 was conducted in a caravan style, where the first set of matches were played in Bengaluru. Then, the action shifted to Delhi, where the rest of the games were played, including the knockout and the final at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
However, the pitch curator at Arun Jaitley Stadium faced some problems in getting ready for the pitch for the tournament, as IPL 2024 started immediately after WPL ended. This year, things will be different. Since there are no matches of WPL in Delhi, the pitches for IPL will be in place on time. Hence, Delhi Capitals will not be required to change any of their home games to Vizag.
