Cricketer Vijay Patel Passes Away After Collapsing During Live Match Due to Heart Attack

by Prakash Reddy V

On Christmas Day, December 25, a very unhappy event took place at Dr. Fraser Boys Ground in Jalna. Vijay Patel, who was 45 years old and lived in Nala Sopara near Mumbai, was playing cricket in a casual game. Suddenly, he started feeling sick and fell down while he was walking to the crease. Sadly, he couldn't survive and passed away right there.

Some people who saw it happen said Vijay was speaking to another player when he was not hitting the ball then, right after that, he seemed to feel abnormal and just dropped to the ground.

People quickly ran over to attempt to bring him back with CPR but it didn't work, unfortunately. They think Vijay had a heart attack but they don't know the reason he died yet.

"He collapsed around 11:30 a.m. while playing a match as part of the Christmas Trophy tournament here. It is suspected that he suffered a heart attack. Attempts to revive him through CPR failed. We are awaiting the post-mortem report," a police official told news agency PTI.

it's not the first time something such as this has happened, A man who was 31 and worked with computers had a very bad heart attack playing cricket at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. He kept playing even though his chest was hurting; then, while he was running, he suddenly fell down.

In November, another similar tragedy occurred when professional cricketer Imran Patel suffered a fatal cardiac arrest during a league match at Pune's Garware Stadium.
