Champions Trophy: Rohit Sharma-led Team India set to leave for Dubai on February 15
The Indian cricket team is likely to leave for Dubai on February 15 to play in the ICC Champions Trophy. The game starts on February 19. India has to play against Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Pakistan. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the match against Pakistan.
India to Depart for Dubai on February 15 for Champions Trophy
According to the Times of India reports, Rohit Sharma and his team might go to Dubai on the 15th of February. But there is no confirmation yet on when they will leave. The reports that Team India probably won't have practice matches before the Champions Trophy. India's first match is against Bangladesh on the 20th of February. And this all happens soon after they finish playing their ODI series with England in Ahmedabad on the 12th of February.
Rohit Sharma the captain of the Indian cricket team, has no need to travel to Pakistan for the captain's photoshoot and press meeting. Rohit will travel to Dubai with his teammates. The opening ceremony was shifted from Karachi to Lahore.
Even though the Champions Trophy is only 19 days away, renovation work is still ongoing in two out of three stadiums. The PCB and the ICC, still have to hand over those stadiums. It's like a cliched frenzy for workers to get everything done quickly before the games begin.
