Basit Ali Criticizes Kohli and Sharma for Neglecting Practice Post T20 World Cup Victory

Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali has expressed concerns that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are taking cricket for granted following India's triumph in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He noted that both players have not been treating practice sessions with the seriousness they once did, which has adversely affected their performances in the Test format. In the first two Tests against New Zealand, Kohli and Sharma have struggled significantly, with Kohli scoring just 88 runs across four innings and Rohit managing 62 runs. Their lack of form contributed to India's historic Test series loss at home to New Zealand. Ali warned that if they do not improve their batting ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, India could face serious challenges.
