Bangladesh vs New Zealand 2026 Series Schedule: Full Fixtures, Dates and Venues

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the schedule for Bangladesh national cricket team’s upcoming series against New Zealand national cricket team. The two teams will play six white-ball matches, three ODIs and three T20Is.
The series will take place at the same time as the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL). No Bangladesh player is involved in the IPL this year, while several of the Kiwi cricketers feature in the cash-rich league. However, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) allows its players to play the IPL and generally selects a squad with players who do not have a contract in any of the T20 leagues.
This means Bangladesh national cricket team is likely to field a full-strength squad against New Zealand national cricket team. This will give them a good chance to improve their International Cricket Council ODI rankings and directly qualify for the next ICC Cricket World Cup.
Bangladesh national cricket team defeated Pakistan national cricket team 2–1 on Sunday, moving up from 10th to 9th in the International Cricket Council ODI rankings.
Another series against a top team could help them move closer to, or even pass, England cricket team, who are currently in eighth place and will not play any ODIs until July 2026. As far as the schedule of the New Zealand tour of Bangladesh is concerned, it will get underway with the ODI series on April 17 while the T20Is will start from April 27. Dhaka and Chattogram will host three matches each during the tour.
