Asia Cup Rising Stars Championship: Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre set to join India A squad

India has not yet received the Asia Cup 2025 trophy. Meanwhile, Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), who has been called the trophy thief, is introducing two new incarnations of the Asia Cup. Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Pakistan's Home Minister, took the trophy with him after winning the Asia Cup 2025, which India had won, but the Indian team did not accept it from him.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre likely to earn India A call-up for Asia Cup Rising Stars
Now it remains to be seen what India's stance will be on the two new incarnations of the Asia Cup. According to a Cricbuzz report, the two new incarnations of the Asia Cup will not be international cricket. One of these will be the Asia Cup Rising Stars, formerly known as the Emerging Asia Cup. It will feature A teams from Test-playing nations and the main teams from Associate Nations.
The first season of this new incarnation is expected to begin on November 12th. During this time, we will also see clashes between India and Pakistan, as the Indian team will also be seen playing in this Asia Cup. Like the Asia Cup 2025, eight teams will participate. The same teams that played in the main tournament will participate. Obviously, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are full member nations, so their A teams will play, while the main teams of Oman, UAE, and Nepal will be part of this tournament. It will be held in Doha from November 14 to 23.

The second incarnation of the Asia Cup is for Under-19 cricket. The Asia Cup in Under-19 cricket is likely to be held in December. However, the dates and venue have not yet been finalized. India may exert pressure. The Asian Cricket Council has decided to launch two new incarnations of the Asia Cup, but the BCCI may oppose it and force the PCB chief to hand over the trophy. The Asia Cup trophy is still at the ACC headquarters, but Mohsin Naqvi has stated that any Indian player can take it from them. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is not ready for this.
