Asia Cup 2025 Points TableIndia kicked off their Asia Cup 2025 journey on a strong note in Dubai on Wednesday. The team bowled out UAE for just 57 runs and chased it down with ease. Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball taking four wickets, while Shivam Dube chipped in with three.

India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. UAE began on a bright note with Alishan Sharafu attacking Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah. But Bumrah struck back knocking over the opener with a perfect yorker. Soon after, Varun Chakravarthy joined in dismissing Muhammad Zuhaib as Suryakumar took a simple catch inside the circle.

After the powerplay, Kuldeep Yadav completely took charge. He removed Rahul Chopra and Muhammad Waseem in the same over pushing UAE into big trouble at 48/4. Soon after, Harshit Kaushik was bowled and from the other end, Shivam Dube got rid of Asif Khan. What looked steady at 47/2 quickly turned into a collapse, with UAE bowled out for just 57. Kuldeep ended with brilliant figures of 4/7, while Dube impressed as well with 3/4.

India’s run chase was smooth and quick. Abhishek Sharma set the tone by hitting a six off the very first ball, followed by a boundary. Shubman Gill, making his T20I return, joined the party with a four and a six in the next over. The job was done in no time as India registered their biggest win with the most balls to spare. It was also the first time they chased down a target inside five overs making it the fastest run chase in their history.

India took a bold decision by leaving out Arshdeep Singh and going in with three main spinners. The move worked perfectly as Kuldeep, Varun and Axar shared six wickets between them. Shivam Dube also stepped up, clearing the tail and giving captain Suryakumar Yadav another solid bowling option. On the batting front, Sanju Samson didn’t get a chance to bat, which still leaves questions about India’s middle order. At the top, Shubman Gill played with calm and confidence, while Abhishek Sharma’s fast start made the run chase look really easy.
