Anukul Roy Replaces Harsh Dubey in India A Squad for Sri Lanka Tri-SeriesKolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Anukul Roy has been added to the India A squad for the upcoming tri-series involving Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A. The tournament is scheduled to begin on June 9 and will run alongside India’s one-off Test and ODI series against Afghanistan. Anukul replaces Harsh Dubey, who has been promoted to India’s senior squads after receiving maiden call-ups in both formats.

In an official statement, the BCCI confirmed that Anukul Roy has been drafted into the India A setup for the Sri Lanka tour. The board clarified that Harsh Dubey’s elevation to the senior national side created the vacancy in the squad. “The Men’s Selection Committee has added Anukul Roy to the India A squad for the upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka. He replaces Harsh Dubey, who has received his maiden call-up to India’s Test and ODI squads for the upcoming IDFC First Bank home series against Afghanistan,” the statement read.

The India A side will be captained by Tilak Varma, while Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag has been named vice-captain. One of the biggest attractions in the squad is 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, whose selection has generated significant excitement among fans and experts alike.

Anukul Roy, who made his IPL debut back in 2019, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in IPL 2026 with KKR. The left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder picked up 8 wickets in 13 matches, with best figures of 2/31. Though primarily used as a bowler by KKR, he delivered several crucial breakthroughs under captain Ajinkya Rahane, earning praise for his consistency and control.

Apart from his IPL performances, Anukul also brings solid domestic experience to the squad. Since making his List A debut in 2018, the 27-year-old has scored 1279 runs in 61 matches and claimed 59 wickets, showcasing his value as a dependable all-round option in white-ball cricket.

India A’s squad for the Sri Lanka tri-series includes: Tilak Varma (captain), Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Riyan Parag (vice-captain), Ayush Badoni, Nishant Sindhu, Suryansh Shedge, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Kumar Kushagra (wk), Vipraj Nigam, Yash Thakur, Yudhvir Singh, Anshul Kamboj, Arshad Khan, and Anukul Roy.
