Another CSK Star Exits England Midway Through County Stint
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has seen another of its players leave England before completing their county cricket assignment. Following Ruturaj Gaikwad's withdrawal from his deal with Yorkshire, Khaleel Ahmed, who had signed a two-month contract with Essex County Cricket Club, also left midway after playing just two First-Class games. Had he stayed for the full term, the 27-year-old would have played at least six First-Class matches and 10 List-A matches for Essex.

Essex expressed their disappointment but also their support for Khaleel's decision in a statement on July 28. "While we are disappointed to see him leave, we fully support Khaleel's decision and are grateful for the contributions he made during his time with us," the club said. Khaleel, who impressed as an India A bowler, had secured the deal after a strong performance against the England Lions. Now back in Rajasthan, he is expected to feature in the Inter-Zonal Duleep Trophy tournament, which begins on August 28.
