Alyssa Healy Signs Off with 158 as Australia Women Thrash India by 185 Runs

Alyssa Healy received a perfect farewell from ODIs as Australia women's national cricket team beat India women's national cricket team by 185 runs. Healy ended her ODI career with a brilliant century and a win in her final match. With this victory, Australia Women now lead the multi-format series 8–4. India Women were outplayed in all areas of the game.
It was always going to be a daunting task to chase 410. India Women lost Smriti Mandhana (0) and good-looking Pratika Rawal (27) inside the powerplay. Jemimah Rodrigues at three looked solid for her 42 before falling in the 11th over. Harleen Deol (14) along with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (25) tried to resurrect the innings but both were dismissed in a quick succession.
The Indian batters felt the pressure of the required run rate and succumbed to it. Richa Ghosh (18) and Kashvee Gautam (0) were sent packing in the 24th over. Deepti Sharma (29) and Sneh Rana (44) showed some resistance with a 63-run stand for the eighth wicket but the hosts did well to knock over India Women on 224 in 45.1 overs to win the game by 185 runs.

For Australia, Alana King was the standout bowler, picking up four wickets and giving away only 33 runs in her 10 overs. Georgia Wareham picked up (2/3) picked up the final two scalps to put an end to this contest and give her skipper a perfect farewell. Earlier, Australia Women were asked to bat first. They lost Phoebe Litchfield (14) cheaply in the sixth over. Skipper Alyssa Healy along with Georgia Voll put a solid 104-run stand for the second wicket, keeping the Women in Blue at bay. Voll scored a 52-ball 62 before holing out in the deep.
Beth Mooney at four got off to a scratchy start. Healy, at the other end, displayed a batting masterclass and brought up her hundred in 79 balls in her final ODI appearance. She went on beast mode post that and scored her next 50 runs in just 16 balls, bringing up 150 in 95 balls. Healy hit 27 fours and two maximums before getting cleaned up on 98-ball 158 in the 37th over. Mooney held the innings nicely from one end despite a mini-collapse. She teed off in the death overs and brought up a magnificent ton off 82 balls.
Mooney and Nicola Carey remained unbeaten on 106 (84) and 34 (15) respectively as both powered the Southern Stars to 409/7, their second-highest ODI total. Each of the five Indian bowlers entered the wickets column, with Shree Charani (2/106) and Sneh Rana (2/66) grabbing two each. It was too much to do for their batters as they fell short by 185 runs.
