Alastair Cook Says: Abhishek Sharma Hit More Sixes in Two Hours Than I Did in My Entire Career
On January 3, the star Indian batter Abhishek Sharma lit up the stage with his excellent performance against England in the fifth and final T20I match. After scoring a century in just his second T20 match, he repeated the feat after nearly 15 games. This century was very special as he broke multiple records.
Abhishek Sharma scored 135 runs off just 54 balls, setting a new record for the highest individual score by an Indian in T20Is. He now holds the record for the most sixes scored by an Indian in a single T20I innings.
The former England captain Sri Alastair Cook was amazed by Abhishek's powerful hitting and made a comment that quickly grabbed attention. Praising the young Indian batter Abhishek's powerful knock at Wankhede, Cook Said, "Abhishek Sharma hit more sixes in two hours than I hit in my whole life."

Abhishek Sharma scored 13 sixes with his explosive batting skills and set a new record for the most sixes in an innings by an Indian in T20I internationals. Sri Alastair Cook, who was mainly a Test player, hit just 11 sixes in his Test career, he managed to score only 10 sixes in his ODI career and four sixes in the T20I. Abhishek scored more sixes in a single T20 innings than Cook did in his entire Test and ODI careers combined.
With his explosive batting, Abhishek reached his fifty in just 17 balls, making it the second-fastest T20I fifty by an Indian. He then completed his century in just 37 balls, recording the second-fastest T20I hundred for India. Abhishek also became the first player in cricket history to score the fastest century against England.
