Afghanistan announce full schedule for white-ball series against Sri Lanka in March 2026
Afghanistan national cricket team will host Sri Lanka national cricket team for the first time in March for a white-ball series. The series will be played in the UAE from March 13 to 25 and will include three ODIs and three T20Is.
Afghanistan to Host Sri Lanka for White-Ball Series in UAE This March
The T20I leg of the tour will be played in Sharjah on March 13, 15 and 17. The ODI leg will be played in Dubai on March 20, 22 and 25. The T20I series will start just five days after the T20 World Cup ends on March 8.
The ODI series is set to conclude one day before the commencement of the IPL and PSL, starting March 26th.
Some of the players participating in both tournaments include: Dasun Shanaka, Rashid Khan, Kusal Perera and Noor Ahmad. This will be only the 2nd bilateral T20I series between the two sides after their first T20I meeting in February 2024. For ODIs, this will mark the 4th bilateral series between these nations after their previous series in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
