Scorchers name six overseas players

The two Pakistanis are among six other overseas players in the squad, including Dian Forrester, Mark Chapman, Akeal Hosein, and Ackeem Auguste.

Moqim has had a busy year with franchise leagues so far. After the Pakistan Super League, where he represented the winning side, Peshawar Zalmi, and finished as the leading wicket-taker with 22 wickets in 11 games, he was named in Derbyshire's Vitality Blast squad.

An injury, however, saw him being partially available, but in the three games that he has played so far, he managed six wickets, including a 3/15 against Lancashire.

Usman Khan, meanwhile, finished his PSL 11 campaign with the runner-up Hyderabad Kingsmen, by scoring 389 runs in 13 games, including one hundred and three fifties.

Scorchers were the winners of the BBL this year, as they lifted the trophy defeating Sydney Sixers. They will kickstart the tournament with a game against PSL franchise Lahore Qalandars on July 23 at the Providence Stadium.
