IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans’ Predicted Playing XI

There's not even a week left for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, and Gujarat Titans, the one-time champions of the Indian Premier League, will be led by Shubham Gill. After the IPL 20-25 Mega auction, the team witnessed some big changes in its squad, similar to other teams, and has since acquired marquee names like Jos Butler and Mohammad Siraj. The upcoming season is going to be very exciting for Gujarat Titans fans. in this article, we discuss GT's expected to play 11 for the season. 

Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be playing the inaugural match of the 18th edition of the IPL on 22nd March at Eden Gardens Kolkata. In the 74-match tournament, every team will play 14 matches each tournament. Each team will play twice with some teams and once with a few teams. The tournament will last over 2 months and end with the finals on 25th May.

Shubman Gill (C)

Shubman Gill, the star Indian batter and key player for Team India will be leading the Gujarat Titans this year as well. Coming off great form in recent matches for India, he is expected to lead from the front, scoring runs at the top of the order. He will have Jos Buttler alongside him as his batting partner, creating an explosive opening duo. In the 103 matches played, he has scored runs 3216 with an average of 37.84 and a strike rate of 135.70.

The star English and wicketkeeper Jos Butler will play for Gujarat Titans this year. After playing for Rajasthan Royals for the last few seasons, this will be his third major franchise in the IPL. Butler has been one of the top run scorers in the Orange Cap leaderboard over the years and will be a key batter for Gujarat this season.In the 107 matches played, he has scored 3582 runs with an average of 38.11 and a strike rate of 147.53.

Sai Sudarshan 

Sai Sudarshan is a consistent batter at no. 3 and will be crucial for Gujarat. He is responsible for creating partnerships and sticking to one end of the crease with other top-order and middle-order batters, building partnerships in the middle overs. In the 25 matches played, he has scored 1034 runs with an average of 47 and a strike rate of 139.17.

Glenn Phillips 

The New Zealand batter, known more for his outstanding fielding than his batting, will play for Gujarat Titans this year. However, with his explosive batting approach and strike rate of nearly 200, he will be the much-needed player down the order to finish the innings and score some quick runs. In the 8 matches played, he has scored 65 runs with an average of 9.29 and a strike rate of 118.18.

Shahrukh Khan 

Shahrukh Khan, another Indian all-rounder known for his explosive batting style and high strike rate, was acquired by Gujarat Titans for the IPL 2025. He will be playing in the middle order, and he has a responsibility to finish the innings well. In the 40 matches played, he has scored 554 runs with an average of 19.75 and a strike rate of 141.43.

Rahul Tewatia 

Rahul Tewatia, known for his heroic match finishes, will be seen in Gujarat Titans jersey again this season and will provide a much-needed balance to the team with his batting and bowling skills. In the 93 matches played, he has scored 1013 runs with an average of 25.33 and a strike rate of 134.71 while taking wickets.

Washington Sundar 

Washington Sundar, the well-known Indian all-rounder who was also part of the Champions trophy-winning squad, will be playing for Gujarat Titans this year and will be bowling in the starting and middle overs supporting Rashid Khan. Along with his bowling skills, his batting abilities will also be crucial for the team. In the 60 matches played, he has taken 37 wickets with an economy of 7.54 and an average of 35.81.

Rashid Khan 

The well-known Afghan spinner and a key player for the Gujarat Titans could be one of the biggest match-winners for the team in the upcoming season. Rashid, known for his consistent bowling, is regarded as the best spinner of the current generation. In addition to his bowling skills, he has also demonstrated his hitting abilities down the order when necessary. In 121 matches played, he has taken 149 wickets with an economy of 6.82 and an average of 21.83.

Prasidh Krishna 

The exciting Indian pace talent who has now secured his place in the Indian team was acquired by the Gujarat Titans in the recent IPL 2025 Mega auction. Known for his pace and consistency, he will lead GT’s pace attack alongside Kagiso Rabada and Mohammad Siraj. In the 51 matches played, he has taken 49 wickets with an economy rate of 8.92.

Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada, an experienced South African pacer, will be a key player in the Gujarat Titans' bowling lineup and will lead the pace attack alongside Prasidh Krishna and Mohammad Siraj. Having played in the IPL for the past decade, Rabada's bowling skills are well known. In the 80 matches he has played, he has taken 117 wickets with an economy rate of 8.48.

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj, who has played for Royal Changes Bengaluru for the last five years, will join Gujarat Titans as his new franchise. RCB released him for the mega auction, and Gujarat Titans picked him up. Siraj has improved his bowling over the years and will play a key role alongside Rabada and Krishna. In the 109 matches he has played, he has taken 93 wickets with an economy of 8.65.
