Enterprise Architecture Conference 2010

Chris Bradley is presenting a seminar session on “Evolve or Die” at the Enterprise Architecture Conference in June.

Chris Bradley, the Head of IPL's Business Consulting practice and acknowledged Information Management thought leader will be running a half day seminar entitled ‘Modelling is not JUST for DBMSs anymore – Evolve or die’ at the Enterprise Architecture Conference in London.

In today's business systems landscape data architects are not only struggling to manage traditional data sources, we're now faced with the new technical areas and challenges of:

  • ERP packages
  • BI & DW systems
  • Mashups & portals
  • SOA & XML message based systems.

The seminar will first re-emphasise the “traditional” place modelling has in the DBMS design lifecycle. It will then go on to show how data modelling can benefit EA projects and architectural disciplines such as SOA and ERP.

This presentation is based on the book Data Modeling for the Business: A Handbook for Aligning the Business with IT using High-Level Data Models, by Steve Hoberman, Donna Burbank, and Chris Bradley.
