ECIM, (Expert Center for Information Mangement), is a non-profit organisation, established by the industry to promote the Data Management / Information Management Profession, competence and Best Practices within the Exploration & Production Industry.

The explosion of information sources and integration challenges, together with greater regulation and compliance requirements have created new challenges for today's enterprise Information solutions. This session considered the role Data Virtualisation can play in your Enterprise Information Environment.

The vast number of information sources frequently means the time to solution through traditional ETL solutions presents a problem. This is where powerful new Data Virtualisation approaches can help – but choose with care, it's not every use case that can benefit from EII/DV.

  • Can EII / Data Virtualisation add value to Data Warehousing? We'll show 5 ways in they can.
  • Data migration and take on ETL vs EII (or both?): We outline 6 key considerations when deciding
  • Information Management issues in the BI world. It's not just about spreadsheets!
