September 23rd, 2008

Formalizing a substantial upturn in business, IPL is delighted to announce the signing of a framework agreement with Thales UK.

IPL has signed a framework contract for the supply of software services to Thales UK. This framework has already led to IPL carrying out a significant amount of work on a Thales Software Radio programme. This is an ongoing development of a Personal Mobile Radio, based on the Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) system.

IPL has deployed a substantial team of software professionals on-site at Thales locations in Basingstoke, Reading and Wells and at IPL's own secure premises in Bath. Members of the team are working on the radio software and the supporting applications.

IPL's CEO, Shaun Davey, said "IPL has worked for various Thales businesses over many years. This framework contract formalizes the alliance and makes our services more widely available within the group. We are delighted to have been selected for this key supporting role and look forward to further developing our working relationship."

Gareth Williams, Procurement Director for Thales Land & Joint (UK), said "IPL have demonstrated that they have capable resources that can deliver complex projects on time and to budget. IPL were able to respond to our requests and mobilize the team in the timescales we required. Thales prides itself on developing quality relationships with high performance suppliers."
