IPL webcams record Bath city centre re-development

June 28th, 2007

The progress of Bath's £350M SouthGate re-development is now visible to the world courtesy of IPL's two webcams.

After years of planning, the UNESCO world heritage city of Bath is now undergoing a £350M make-over. In February 2007, Multi Development UK began work on the regeneration project, an area of 9-acres (3.6 hectares) in the southeast of the city known as Southgate.

The eagerly awaited development will provide shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, residential apartments, underground car parking and a new public transport interchange. The entire programme is due for completion in 2010.

IPL has installed two webcams at its adjacent Henry Street offices, which will capture images throughout the 4-year transformation at intervals of 1 hour. Visitors to the web site can also view a time lapse movie showing the dramatic changes that have taken place to date.
