With its 26 year trading history and outstanding corporate record, IPL is already well established as a leading supplier of software services and specialist products across a broad range of market sectors.

Company aim

In the five years commencing October 2005, we intend to transform IPL's position in the UK marketplace by doubling our turnover and staff numbers.

This aim will be achieved by:

  • Growing our core software development business i.e. capitalising on our strong market position and established customer relationships;
  • Engaging with new and existing customers in a number of different ways and at different levels. This will include a number of new service offerings such as Business Consultancy, Outsourced Services and Partner Solutions.

Strategic objectives & enablers

In addition to growth of the core business, the above aim will be realised through the achievement of the following objectives and enabling initiatives:

Business Consultancy: We intend to grow our service capability in the areas of Business Consultancy (e.g. Business Process, Information Management, Programme Management, and IT Infrastructure Consulting).

Outsourced Services: We will actively offer services in the areas of on-going development and maintenance services, and provide managed services.

Solutions Orientated Services: We will select a number of solution areas and appropriate partners to offer solutions in areas synergistic to our other services.

Improved Resourcing: We intend to improve our ability to attract and retain permanent employees and expand our UK permanent workforce. In addition, we will use contract and offshore resources to:

  • Further improve cost-effectiveness;
  • Gain access to specialist skills;
  • Offer more flexible staffing options.
